Rucking Rosary
"Pray not for a lighter load, but for stronger shoulders."
Men of Virtue and Piety — Viri Virtutis et Pietatis
Begin Your FormationOur Story
The Rucking Rosary was born out of a transition from military into civilian life — and a belief that men need more than comfort.
After two decades in the Marine Corps — serving in the infantry, Marine Special Operations, and alongside some of the finest warriors in Naval Special Warfare — I experienced what many veterans feel but struggle to articulate. In combat, life is stripped down to purpose, brotherhood, hardship, and faith. There is clarity in shared suffering and mission. When that structure disappears, men are often left searching for meaning, direction, and connection.
But this isn't just a veteran issue.
With the help of my wife, Alex and fellow Marine Tanner Babb, we brought the Rucking Rosary to life as something bigger than a military carryover. It's open to all men — veterans and civilians alike — and welcomes men of all faiths. At its foundation, it is rooted in Christianity and the life of Jesus Christ, but any man willing to pursue discipline, brotherhood, and spiritual growth is welcome to shoulder a pack and walk with us.
Who It's For
This is for men who are not content with their current status in life — men who know they're capable of more.
Men who refuse to sit around waiting for life to get easier and instead choose to become stronger.
We live in a modern comfort crisis. Everything in our culture pushes ease, distraction, and self-indulgence. Comfort has become the highest good. And yet, men are restless. They feel the pull toward something harder, older, more real. They don't want another app, another motivational quote, or another passive experience. They want tradition. Brotherhood. Challenge. Responsibility.
Men need to push their limits. They need to get uncomfortable. They need to do hard things on purpose. When a man chooses voluntary hardship — carrying weight, praying out loud, engaging in real conversations about fatherhood, marriage, discipline, and virtue — something shifts. He becomes not just physically stronger, but mentally tougher and spiritually sharper.

Answer the Call
This isn't about nostalgia for war or glorifying the past. It's about reclaiming timeless virtues in a world obsessed with the self. It's about remembering that we are descendants of dragon slayers — men who faced chaos, shouldered responsibility, and built civilizations rooted in faith.
It's about time we start acting like it.
The Rucking Rosary is a call to men who want more — not more comfort, but more character. Not lighter burdens, but stronger shoulders.
